I’m V. K. Neko — a professional voice talent with nine years behind the mic. My range sits feminine medium-low, with a distinctive raspy, sultry texture that lends itself to characters who feel lived-in — the mysterious, the tender, the just-a-little-bit dangerous.
I fell into this world the way a lot of us do: mimicking cartoon characters at the dinner table, doing impressions of everyone I loved, and realising far too late that “making voices” was a job you could actually have. Once I found it, I never looked back.
I started the way most of us do — a cheap USB mic, a blanket fort, and a whole lot of retakes. Over nine years I invested in the craft piece by piece: a Rode NT1-A condenser, a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, proper isolation, and a workflow in Audacity that lets me record, edit and master without ever leaving the booth.
In 2021–2022 I formally trained through Voice Acting School, sharpening breath control, microphone technique, cold reading, character voice development, and accent work on direction.
My work spans animation, anime dubbing, video game characters, audiobook narration, commercial & narration work, immersive audio / ASMR, and character roleplay audio. Whether it’s a whisper-close intimate scene or a fully-realised animated villain, every take starts with the emotion first.
I pride myself on taking direction well — live or written — and I treat every session as a collaboration. If you have a script and a vision, I’ll meet you there. If you just want to chat about a project you’re not sure about yet, that’s fair game too.
